Road-Kill Stew #2

  • 8 cup water
  • 1 pkg. onion soup
  • 2 bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 lbs. venison; cut up
  • 1 med. onion; quartered
  • 4 lg. potatoes; cut up
  • 6 carrots; cut up

This is best if cooked in a crock pot. Just start in the morning and it’s ready at supper time.

Combine water and next 5 ingredients. Add venison, onion, potatoes and carrots. Cover and cook on high simmer for 8 hours.

During the last 15 to 20 minutes add your favorite dumplings or biscuit mix (drop by tablespoon) to the top of bubbling stew. Cover.
